Ex-Warlock Discusses Dangers of Occult as Millions Celebrate Darkness on Halloween

Today, Richard Lorenzo Jr. is a Christian pastor — but that wasn't always the case. The ex-warlock was at one time embroiled in the occult, engaging in evil and encouraging others to do the same. All that changed when he accepted Jesus in 2019.

"I definitely was possessed," he recently told CBN Digital. "I was hearing voices — I was literally hearing voices." Lorenzo said he began dabbling in selling drugs, but when a massive drug package went missing, he became obsessed with finding out who took it. That's when he turned to a voodoo priest for answers. Soon, he was so enthralled with evil that he forgot about the package. The subsequent journey led him into the bowels of the occult, diving so deep into the abyss he gave up everything to study such practices.

In the end, Lorenzo started down a dangerous road. "I know I was possessed. … I used to believe that the things I was doing were right," he said. "I used to believe … abortion is right. … I would convince people about abortion, convince people to get drunk, to cheat on their wives." Lorenzo continued, "I was literally working for the devil." But all of that changed when he found Jesus.

Watch Lorenzo share the incredible journey to faith and the pastorate.

    1. That is it..its mercy, grace, redemption, forgiveness, deliverance, healing, peace, joy, life eternal..its the shed blood of God for humanity!

    1. @@martinkent333 that’s definitely the wrong wrong resource..extraordinary amounts of biblical evidence in archeological digs over in Israel..i.e. City of David n much much more.

  1. Pastor Rich has a great testimony. I’m grateful he shares evangelism online through YouTube videos because I’ve learned so much about reaching people for Jesus 🎉

    1. @@chrisyoung3146thank you! I just read them yesterday and decided to ignore them. May they accept and live in the love of God.

I appreciate the positive message! 🎉 God bless!

  2. Wow, I went down that same path years ago. Everything he said about his experiences is true!! I almost went to Cuba from the U.S. to become a high priestess. I thank God I didn’t. The fact that the ritual required baby goats and pigs to be sacrificed was what deterred me. I was also raised in a Catholic household and over my lifetime I have dabbled in all different types of “spiritual” circles, with Santeria being the worst, in my opinion. Now, all I want to do is build a relationship with Christ. This Sunday I plan to attend a Christian church, got everything I need to study the Bible at home until I settle in with a group, I didn’t celebrate Halloween for the first time this year, and getting rid of all my tarot cards and occult items I have laying around. I’m truly amazed how within the last few weeks my heart and mind have been solely focused on living a new life in Christ 💜

    1. Good on you! I’m glad God reached you and that you’re finding a church! If you’re interested, I highly recommend a series called ‘total onslaught’ by Walter Veith, that’s what fully confirmed me in the faith after leaving new age. Welcome to a new life!

    2. I thank God for that! Be warned that America is a country full of many fake churches, as well as people who are well-meaning Christians but not fit to be pastors. Read 1 Timothy and watch the pastors carefully at your church, ask questions to see if the pastors are men like Paul describes (in 1 Timothy). But be encouraged, some faithful churches are here too in America and the blessings God has brought me through those very faithful churches are beyond counting! <3 Grace of Christ be with you!

  3. Amazing. After my youth and seeing Halloween as “no big deal”, I realize it will NEVER, EVER, be accepted in the kingdom. Walk away, and tell your friends to walk away and take their families.

    1. Probably Thanksgiving, Christmas Easter, and all those holidays pagan holidays we celebrate will not be welcomed in the kingdom. Jesus is going to rain for 1000 years. I can’t wait. It’s going to be his way now. Not the way we are living.

    2. @@karinagarcia3702 I never did halloween, but we just last year realized all the rest of the holidays were not only not Christian, but pagan & dishonoring to the Lord. So we quit celebrating them all.

    3. @@derpywho1394 but when Jesus comes, I can’t wait to see what we’re going to celebrate what are new traditions are going to be when he’s here I can’t wait to honor him hug him walk with him warship him thank him because of him I have a life and I will never die

    4. @@karinagarcia3702It’s all about the reason why you celebrate it. Easter represents the death/resurrection and Christmas the birth of Jesus Christ.

  4. Pastor Lorenzo is one of my favorite pastors. I had no idea he was this deep in witchcraft. Thanks for sharing this testimony,

    1. @@martinkent333 man, u sure hit the nail on the head- in a nutshell! I mean there are certainly different perspectives, however that is also the one I heard too. How interesting…however, it led him in the right direction afterall; or ig, time will tell. 🗝️🙏🏽

      p.s. jus bcuz ur paranoid, doesn’t mean they’re not after u! 😉

    2. @@coldfact. Skeptic societoies will pay millions of dollars to anyone who can prove the paranormal. Funny how no one has collected yet, Dude!

    3. @@user-lj4xs4gn8u Skeptic societies will pay millions of dollars to anyone who can prove witchcraft or the paranormal. I was trying to find the Pharoah of Egypt during Exodus and found out that no one knows. The Hebrew migration is foggy and missing any evidence – ditto Moses et all.

  5. Richard’s story blessed me. Looking at the news, seeing the chaos can be discouraging. The enemy wants us to believe all hope is lost. Richard’s story shows us that there is always hope in the Light of Jesus, no matter how dark your life gets. The revival & deliverance God promised us is here! Praise Jesus! We bless the Lord!

    1. Paranoia is a serious mental illness. How paranoid are you? Invisible enemies? Doom and Gloom? Invisible superheroes protecting you and your family? Perpetually paranoid?

    1. I didn’t even realize I was headed into witchcraft. That’s how bad it is. You can get wrapped up on accident if not following Jesus and living right by God with decernment. I’m so thankful he saved me. I almost died

    2. @@Loveyours33 The Christian concept of witchcraft is basically everything even if it’s really not so don’t get yourself too tied up in the idea. How do accidentally get wrapped up if it’s not your intention?

    3. That is cursing because witches are born witches! And you can’t come to repentance because we were born with attendant spirits to protect us from the moment we were born!

He obviously was never a witch/warlock and shouldn’t have been practicing witchcraft or dealing with such forces when he was never meant to.

Don’t go praying because you are cursing…. pray for yourself

  6. I went through a similar path myself I didn’t go into voodoo, but I did go into spiritual Satanism, and it did start out with Terrell cards and wanting to know, spiritual, truths, and reincarnation and ancestors. I also used magic to do dark deeds. I praise Jesus for saving me every day, God bless you for sharing your story

    1. And good to hear your testimony! 🙌🙌
Keep in the Word everyday..Jesus Christ the Living Word-John 1:1-14 & Colossians 1:14-18.
And KJV or NKJV will keep your path lighted clear.

    2. There are 72 archangels and 72 goetic seals. There is no coincidence. It is duality of the system. They are both the same with a different mask

  7. Beyonce wears Baphonet jewelry. Her husband Jay Z wears shirts with Aliester Crowley quotes on them. They aren’t hiding it. People are just blind

    1. I am glad that you can see the truth about them. I wish that more people could see how many of these “entertainers” are using their influence to deceive many. We are living in the Last Days before JESUS comes back. Stay strong in the LORD GOD and HE will keep you safe.

    2. Her song black parade has vodun alllllllll in it, if you look at what vodun practices and look at her lyrics. She’s literally singing about a ritual.

    1. God delivered me from sorcery, it also drew me closer to God and the Holy Spirit, I am delivered, praise God

    2. Play with the occult? Do you know what occult means? It simply means “that which is hidden”. I believe in God our creator, this is no accident and I don’t buy the frankly pathetic theory and non evidence we came from monkeys/apes. I have read a few occultists Steiner and Hall and have studied some of the symbolism which is all over the place not least in many of the religious establishments. I’m not going to get specific but you can see it. I found that researching some alternative history was very helpful in understanding what’s going on. Would you agree God is real but there are a lot of fakes pretending to represent him hear on Earth?

  8. Yep it’s all idolatry. I’m native American and grew up in the Sundance. I used sangria and exposure to voodoo. I have repented and praise my Jesus for saving and delivering me and my children. I broke those altars and covenants in Jesus name and washed the blood of Jesus over it all. I am redeemed and my family.

    1. God bless you, Ma’am. You are a beautiful witness for the healing and renewing powers of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you for sharing your story. I had no idea Natives are involved with voodoo. Please give your testimony to as many as you can. Best wishes.

    2. Christianity is a cult, please don’t fall for it. Ask yourself, who wrote the new testamen, what type of society created the bible? Hint: It’s the romans, aka the slave owners. Please celebrate your own beautiful and rich tradition/culture. Don’t let the colonizers brainwash your mind. Think about what religion did the colonizers practice? Why do you think that is. We need native american relgion/culture to stay alive. (This is coming from an indian canadian.)

    3. Sangria is a drink, perhaps he meant santaria. Like the sublime song “I don’t practice santaria, I don’t got no crystal ball…”

  9. I grew up in the Amazon jungle with all kinds of strange stuff on this topic. When I moved to the USA I was surprised at how people love halloween! Especially Christians!!! We don’t fight against flesh and blood but the unseen.

    1. I agree! My own mother won’t even listen to me when I ask her if Jesus would appreciate her decorating her entire house in death and gore on that satanic high day.

    2. The Amazon??!! How did you end up moving to US? How many in the depths of the Amazon do you think, have not yet heard the gospel? I’ve been rather focused on the people of Amazon lately.. thinking that they need to be reached! I don’t hear if missionaries going there.. but I read somewhere that the jungle is where the most people live, that haven’t met outside society.

    3. I stop Halloween and more thing of the occult, that I didn’t know but my house
Is blessed by prayer and holy virgin oil

  10. I love how he went to the church for the first time and saw people he knew who had witnessed to him. Jesus loves us so much ❤️

    1. As an atheist I have to say that figure of Jesus is certainly a powerful and positive one, and the fact that you guys always talk about love can only be a good thing.

  11. Amazing testimony!! Jesus!!!
Jesus healed me of 7 diseases in my body in 2 years. Last week God gave me a new back! Had 4 disorders in my spine and I am able to finally sleep through the night after 30 years of pain
    Thank you Jesus!!😅

    1. Can you share the deliverance prayer with me. I’m Christian from a atheist mother most of my life. I have stenosis spondylosis 3 slipped disks and a lesion on my spinal cord. I’ve been on a wait list in Canada for 6 years for a pain clinic referral that’s never come. Pray for me everybody. I’m tired of this bondage.

    2. @@tracywatts1459you need to find a church FILLED with worship and the Holy Spirit that is Bible believing. They are hard to find but God will provide when you ask Him! Prayers to you. Find someone with healing hands! Here on YouTube, there are many things you can search for, for healing prayers and even ones that are 8 hours long that you can put on when you sleep. If you need a deliverance, pray God will send you the right person to deliver you. Find someone highly anointed. You can also check Isaiah Saldivar’s deliverance map. I was delivered by John Ramirez yesterday and baptized! God bless

  12. I love how you said “nobody goes to Haiti unless they are crazy”! My wife and I laughed when we listened to that…In Haiti still since 2015, Jesus brought us here. And we ended up starting the process to adopt a beautiful Little Haitian girl, and we are still in the adoption process because it is indeed crazy here and port Au prince just can’t progress. All our adoption has to be done in port Au prince and it has taken years, but we are staying busy making disciples for Jesus! Love your channel brother and we would love to meet you and your wife someday! Bondye Beni nou!

    1. Please stay out of Haiti and I hope your intentions to adopt are indeed halted if you’re there on ill intent.

    2. 😅 yup my mom and her best friend keep going back to Haiti too, when the boss calls you gotta answer, but I’m glad that’s not my calling though 🙏💗🇭🇹

    3. @@thesincitymamaI love how your faith shows in the trust you have to let ur mom have “her own” ‘Walk.’ It must feel extremely joyful within, to flow very separate-yet, both very fulfilling journeys, wow. 🙌🏽

(u sure got it right this time around)😉🙏🏽

  13. This shows that having sound Christians around you when you are growing in Christ is so important. God bless all those who were not afraid to share the truth of the gospel.

    1. I typed Moses online and discovered that there is no evidence for Exodus and Moses. What’s up with that?

  14. Listening to this casually as a Haitian and never thought he was gonna talk about my country. Haiti is really plagued by witchcraft. Keep us in your prayers!

    1. Prayers are people talking to themselves

Religion is a mental illness created by man to appease the mentally weak

    2. I found myself in the same place witchcraft is all about working with spirits to get your way so voodoo is extremely powerful

    3. Big reason why I think so many “natural disasters” happen there , God is trying to warn people just like he did so many times in the Old Testament before destruction came

    4. jesus rescue jesus save all the time call his name jesus my rock my savior my hope of salvation my deliver amen
